Nyoy Volante opened up about his past closeness with Jennylyn Mercado during his guest appearance on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” on Thursday, September 17.

During the interview, host Boy Abunda asked Nyoy if he had previously courted Jennylyn. Nyoy explained that there was a time when they became particularly close, with Jennylyn watching his shows.

He said, “Tito Boy ganito, Jennylyn and I, nung mga panahon na 'yon, there was a point in time na naging close kami talaga, she was watching my shows...”

Boy then asked how close they were, bringing up reports that Mark Herras allegedly became jealous of Nyoy at the time. Nyoy reacted with surprise, saying, “Wow grabe naman! Hindi ko na alam 'yon.”

The host followed up by asking if their relationship ever reached the point of becoming official. Nyoy clarified that they did not have a label, although he acknowledged that he was fond of Jennylyn.

He said, “Hindi ko alam, walang label. What we had was what we had. It was there. I definitely was fond of her pero 'yun nga, whatever we had before is, not for being safe, pero wala namang siyang label or anything. Basta ang alam ko sobrang naging close lang kami before.”
