A 13-year-old boy accidentally shot and killed his 7-year-old brother while he was asleep.

In an report by Marisol Abdurahman of GMA-7's 24-Oras, investigators revealed that the older brother found their father's gun hidden in a drawer and accidentally fired it.

The bullet traveled to the other side of the room, striking the younger boy on the left side of his back. He was rushed to the hospital but sadly did not survive.

Their father, a policeman, was devastated by the tragic incident.

He might also face both administrative and criminal case. He's not in custody of the Manila Police District.
