An elderly woman died after the SUV that she’s riding was hit by another SUV reportedly driven by a 17-year-old in Opol, Misamis Oriental.

In a CCTV footage shared by GMA News, one can see SUV darting through an intersection, apparently not noticing the other SUV on another road crossing the intersection.

Based on the CCTV footage, the SUV from one road hit the other on the other road crossing the intersection with such force that the hit car turned several times over.

According to the report, the woman, a 67-year-old passenger in the SUV that was hit, was declared dead at the scene due to a head injury.

Six other occupants of the car, which include three kids, sustained various degrees of injuries and brought to the hospital.

Reports say all the occupants in the car that was hit were all members of the one family.

According to an investigator of the Opol police station, the elderly woman was sitting exactly where the car she’s riding in was hit.

“Nasa pinakagilid siya sa backseat, nasa gilid talaga siya ng pintuan which is doon mismo ang point of impact. Nahampas siguro ang kaniyang ulo,” Police Staff Sergeant Daryl Cariliman, an investigator at the Opol police station, said.

The friend of the victim said that the bus did not stop, the conductor of the bus only looked at the victim, and they all sauntered off.

In other news, the suspect in the death of a 22-year-old who was found floating on the seaside in Cebu City was arrested. According to the report of Frontline the suspect allegedly got mad because the victim got angry when he tried to steal a kiss. Authorities found some of the victim's belongings in the possession of the suspect. There was also a .38 caliber gun that was recovered from the suspect.
