Floodwaters in some parts of the province of Albay have reached very high levels, which in some cases, have putting underwater the second floor of several houses there.

In a video shared by GMA News, one can see some houses with only their roofs visible to the naked eye.

It wasn’t clear, however, if these were two-storey houses as mentioned in the report or were single storey homes.

Meanwhile, a teacher by the name of Teacher Michelle Ricasio, who lived in the area and managed to post an appeal for help online revealed that the floodwaters did not spare even the evacuation area in their place.

Apparently, Teacher Ricasio sought refuge from the floodwaters by staying on the roof of their house.

“Pati po evacuation center inabot po na rin,” Teacher Ricasio said in her post.

She also appealed for rescuers to go to their place and rescue those stranded there.

“Sana po may dumating na rescue,” Teacher Ricasio said.
