According to GMA Regional TV, the mother then drove the motorcycle, while their 24-year-old son was backriding, supporting the wounded man.
Despite this, the assailant still followed them on the road as they were on their way to the hospital.
Thereafter, shots were fired when they were already in Brgy. Cantuod, Balamban, which hit the head of the son, causing the family to fall.

Help came but the father died, while the son became critical.
Police Lieutenant Julius Garcia, chief of Balamban Police Station, said that the suspect might have been angry because the victim was opposed to his relationship with the sister-in-law of the victim.
Police are still searching for the suspect, who was found to have previously served time for attacking his own father.
