Based on the report of 24 Oras of GMA News, the mastermind wanted to retrieve the check that he paid to the slain couple.
It was also revealed that the amount on the check is P11,000,000.
PNP also mentioned about the existence of a middle man between the assassins and the alleged mastermind.

In a report by Rappler quoting police authorities, the victims were onboard their vehicle when the incident happened. Many netizens, expressing shock at what happened, condoled with the family of the victims and also demanded justice for their untimely demise.
