Christopher de Leon has opened up about the ongoing conflict between his children, Lotlot de Leon and Ian de Leon, involving the legacy of their late mother, Superstar Nora Aunor.

During an interview with Ogie Diaz on his YouTube vlog on September 18, the veteran actor revealed that he had already spoken to both children separately to hear their respective sides.

However, he explained that he prefers not to interfere in their disagreement, particularly because it involves matters concerning their late mother and a foundation.

"And pinag-aawayan nila is a sort of a foundation na it involves funding, whatever. 'Pag ganyan, ayoko nang makialam."

The actor also explained that he does not want to make the situation worse by discussing private family matters in public.

Instead, he prefers to speak directly with his children whenever he has something to tell them.

He added that Lotlot and Ian are already adults who can make their own decisions and handle their disagreements.

Although he does not want to take sides, Christopher remains hopeful that his children will eventually settle their differences.

"Siguro one day magkakaayos 'yan. Definitely one day magkakaayos 'yan. Hindi naman puwedeng hindi," he shared.

The celebrity also expressed his hope that, with God's help, the siblings would find a way to reconcile.

For now, he believes it is better to give his children time to calm down before discussing their differences further.

Christopher admitted that he was surprised by the sudden change in the siblings' relationship following their mother's passing.

He acknowledged that each of his children has personal reasons for acting the way they do, which is why he does not want to interfere.

Despite the situation, the actor assured that he continues to communicate with his children and express his love for them.

"I'm always in touch with regards to 'yung personal postings about, you know, my love for them. Walang sablay 'yun."

He emphasized that their relationship as father and children remains important to him, regardless of the disagreement between the siblings.

Lotlot de Leon has built a long career in Philippine entertainment, beginning her journey as a child performer before progressing to major roles in movies and television. She is the adopted daughter of Nora Aunor and Christopher de Leon and belongs to a notable showbiz clan alongside siblings Matet, Ian, Kenneth, and Kiko de Leon.
