- In a CCTV footage, children were playing on a street where the little girl was seen walking on her own

- Not so far from the children was a pick-up, and just in time when it was about to move, it hit the 2-year-old kid who was rolled over by the said vehicle

- The driver quickly brought the baby to the hospital but was eventually pronounced dead on arrival

As shown in the CCTV footage, the street was then filled with children who were just minding their own business while playing.

Then, out of nowhere, the 2-year-old baby was seen walking on her own. Right when she was in front of the pick-up, that's also the time when it moved forward.

Given the height of the vehicle, the driver didn't see the baby in front of him.

"Base doon sa ating driver at makikita naman sa CCTV, napakataas nitong sasakyan, at 'yung bata kasi, napakaliit. Hindi napansin nitong driver na iyong bata ay nandito sa harapan ng sasakyan at noong umalis siya, nasagasaan niya itong bata... Nahaharap [siya] sa kasong reckless imprudence resulting in homicide," said Police Major Philipp Ines, spokesperson of the Manila Police District.

The driver who hit the girl quickly brought the baby to the hospital but was eventually pronounced dead on arrival.
