Pres. Bongbong Marcos enumerated the incidents of harassment that China has been committing in the South China Sea right in the presence of Chinese Premiere Li Qiang at the 27th Asean-Japan Summit in Lao People's Democratic Republic or Lao PDR.
The President cited blocking, the use of water cannons, pointing of lasers and ramming Philippine ships, as among the acts of harassment of China against the Philippines.
Thereafter, he also called on to expedite the formation of the code of conduct in the South China Sea to keep the peace.
"The common problems in our region are increasingly transnational in nature. Unilateral actions in the East and in the South China Sea continue to undermine peace and stability in the region,” Marcos said.

The hashtag "Nasaan Ang Pangulo" trended on social media, and there were even talks that circulated that the President is sick. He also corrected the rumors that he had a medical emergency. The president led the situational briefing at the NDRRMC regarding the effects of the storm.
Two years ago, a video of Bongbong Marcos along with his allies at Solaire has gone viral. Everyone was in a festive mood, and BBM could be seen in front smiling. The video also captured BBM's sister, Irene, happily hugging BBM's wife Liza Araneta. Some of the personalities in the video were holding glasses of wine, and everyone was just in a happy mood.
