The intense standoff, which happened on a Friday right outside the local public market, quickly caught the public's attention.

According to a report by GMA Regional TV reporter Sendee Salvacio, the viral video captured the visibly furious vendor heavily dousing her tubs of fresh fish with bleach and laundry soap.

The video's uploader, who happens to be the vendor’s sister, shared that they actually pleaded with the clearing team to just let them pay the fine at the local marker division so they could safely take their goods back home.

Sadly, their pleas fell on deaf ears. "Hindi raw sila pinagbigyan kaya binuhusan na lang nila ng bleach at sabon ang isda para hindi pakinabangan sa gagawing pagkumpisda," the caption explained.

Driven by anger and the painful loss of her daily capital, the chemical-laced sabotage became her ultimate act of defiance against a system she felt was deeply unforgiving.

Nora explained that legitimate sellers like her pay over P10,000 annually for proper permits, emphasizing that there are still plenty of vacant stalls available inside for anyone willing to do business legally.

As of now, the public market's administration has declined to issue a formal statement regarding the viral fiasco, though they noted they are ready to face any potential complaints.
