Four students died and three others suffered injuries after a huge tree beside a highway in Lanao del Sur suddenly fell on the tricycle they’re riding in.

According to a video report by TV Patrol, those who died were all students.

According to the report, responders rushed to the scene and tried to make haste in cutting the tree in an attempt to save the occupants of the tricycle.

The report also said that the incident happened while strong winds and heavy rains caused by the southwest monsoon is being experienced in the area.
