Kristel explained that they are at a point in their relationship where they genuinely enjoy each other’s company. She described a feeling of being so happy together that it can seem as though they are the only two people in the world.

For the actress, being with her partner is what makes her life there feel happy. When Karen raised the question of loneliness, she said she does not feel that way while they are together.

However, spending time apart brings a different experience.

According to the content creator, even a separation lasting just one or two weeks can already be hard for both of them. She admitted that she struggles with missing her husband even when their time away from each other is relatively short.

That experience led her to think about married couples who have to manage much longer separations.

Kristel mentioned spouses who work overseas and cannot be with their partners for a year or more. Having found even a week apart difficult, she said she could hardly imagine going through such a lengthy period away from her husband.

Her comments centered on how challenging that distance can feel, particularly when a couple has become used to being together.

This was not the first time the celebrity had spoken about missing her partner.

In an August 2025 vlog previously reported by KAMI, she shared her feelings about returning to the Philippines while her husband remained in South Korea. At the time, she needed to process requirements for her F6 spouse visa.

“My home is where my husband is,” she said in that earlier vlog. She also shared that her husband felt lonely coming home from work to an empty house.

The couple married in South Korea on May 10, 2025, following their engagement announcement in February that year.

In her conversation with Karen, Kristel again spoke openly about both the happiness of being together and the difficulty of temporary separation. The accompanying post directs viewers to the full interview on Karen Davila’s YouTube channel.

She emphasized the double standard where foreigners are celebrated for embracing Filipino culture but locals are bashed for doing the opposite.

Meanwhile, in 2025, Kristel Fulgar shared an "embarrassing" story from her Korean Residence Card application, where she was short on cash at the immigration office. She revealed that despite her husband giving her the exact amount in cash, she ended up being short on cash after doing a bunch of photocopies.
