Kyline Alcantara has opened up about why she is choosing to remain single, admitting that painful experiences from her past relationships have left her exhausted by the process of getting to know someone romantically.

The 24-year-old actress discussed her current love life during an exclusive interview with PUSH ABS-CBN and reported by ABS-CBN News, after attending the Opulence Ball, titled The New Nocturnals, on October 29.

Following her breakup with basketball player Kobe Paras last year, Kyline has continued to keep her personal life private. She clarified that her decision to stay single is intentional and that she is currently not entertaining potential romantic partners.

“Well, you can say that it’s a conscious effort on my part (to keep a low profile on my personal life). But honestly, I’m not dating anybody right now. I’m not even entertaining anybody. I guess, maybe I’m too young to say this, but I just got so tired of the whole cycle of you know, getting to know someone and blah, blah, blah. I just got hurt so much, and that’s why I don’t want to date for now,” she admitted.

Despite having no immediate plans to enter a relationship, Kyline said she has been enjoying certain aspects of being single. She explained that while she has never felt that being in a relationship limited her freedom, being unattached gives her more independence in her everyday decisions.

“Oh I will always have freedom. Siguro, I love the extra freedom, I guess. I will always have freedom but mas iba pag single kasi hindi mo kailangan magpaalam and all that,” she added.

The actress also has yet to determine when she might consider dating again. For now, she appears content with allowing herself time to recover emotionally rather than rushing into another romantic connection.

Her recent statements echo what she previously shared during an interview with Boy Abunda earlier this year. At the time, Kyline openly discussed her hesitation to fall in love again and explained why she was not ready to welcome someone new into her life.

Her remarks highlight how she is redirecting her affection toward the people closest to her while giving herself the space she needs.

Kyline Alcantara is a Kapuso actress who rose to fame through Kambal, Karibal and Bilangin ang Bituin sa Langit, and had a challenging childhood after her parents separated when she was four, although their family eventually reunited. Her love life has also drawn attention following her past relationships with Mavy Legaspi and basketball player Kobe Paras, whose relationship ended in April 2025, with Kyline later revealing that she is choosing to remain single and focus on self-improvement.

In another report, Kyline Alcantara shared that romantic relationships are not currently among her priorities as she focuses on personal growth and self-improvement. The actress explained that she is comfortable taking her time rather than rushing into a new relationship. She also acknowledged that being young means having room to make mistakes, learn valuable lessons, and gain new experiences. Kyline likewise admitted that she remains unsure whether she would consider dating someone from the entertainment industry again.

Meanwhile, Kyline Alcantara addressed questions about her previous relationship with Miguel Tanfelix, shedding light on what happened between them when they were younger. During her appearance on "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda," she recalled that they were approximately 16 or 17 years old at the time. She also clarified whether their past connection affected their experience working together in the series "Taskforce Firewall." According to Kyline, there was no longer any uncomfortable feeling between them, as they had already reestablished their connection before joining the same project.
