- Eventually, Khate called the barangay, where the kid was eventually taken in

- The grandparents of the kid eventually came forward to confirm that it was their son who indeed left the kid

A 2-year-old boy was recently left by his own father at a waiting shed located in a barangay at Mamburao, Occidental Mindoro.

In the viral video clip that GMA Public Affairs' 'For Your Page' has posted, the boy and his father were sitting together at the shed.

Eventually, the father stood up and left his son after buying what seemed to be some food for him.

While the boy was sitting down, a woman, Khate Reyes, saw him and decided to accompany him before waiting for anyone to come.

However, no one came back for the boy, prompting Khate to call the barangay about the child.

While at the Social Welfare Office, an elderly couple introduced themselves as the grandparents, who confirmed the man to be their son.

According to the grandparents, their son and the mother of the child are already separated.

As of this writing, the grandparents are also unaware as to where their son could possibly be.
