- The Philippine National Police, together with the body for combating organized crime filed the non-bailable charge against the suspended mayor
- Both the PNP Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG) and the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) filed the complaint to the Department of Justice (DOJ)
- The charges were for violations of Republic Act No. 9208, or the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act

Suspended Bamban Mayor Alice Guo was formally charged by both the PNP-CIDG and the PAOCC with Qualified Human Trafficking for her alleged involvement with an illegal Philippine offshore gaming operator (POGO) in her town.
The complaint was submitted to the DOJ, along with boxes of evidence.
Aside from Guo, 13 others were likewise charged.
As per 24 Oras, the camp of Guo has not yet received a copy of the complaint.

Guo's camp said that the mayor is ready to face the complaints and they are quite confident that there would be no evidence that would link her to the said operations.
Alice Leal Guo is the Mayor of the Municipality of Bamban, Tarlac. She won as mayor during the national elections in 2022. She became known nationwide after her name was dragged into the ongoing Senate investigations regarding Philippine Offshore Gaming Operations or (POGO) and the alleged proliferation of illegal immigrants. Her name has been the subject of many online memes since then.
In a related article published last year, social media influencer Madam Kilay previously aired her sentiments about some vloggers who promote betting online. According to her, these people should stop doing so as they already earn from posting content. It didn't take long for her post to go viral on the said social media platform. She even created a new video, highlighting her thoughts about the matter.
In another related news posted several years ago, DOLE confirmed that the number of Chinese illegal workers in the Philippines appeared to have increased. Philippine senators, at the time, expressed their opinion about the matter. They said the government should be stricter in granting permits.
