Kenneth Medrano, who won the “That’s My Bae” segment of “Eat Bulaga!” in 2015, shared a candid update about his experience undergoing chemotherapy as he continues treatment for cancer.

The former performer revealed that he is preparing for his third chemotherapy cycle next week. While he knows another round may bring difficult days, Kenneth said his previous treatments have given him a better understanding of what to expect.
“I’m so excited for my 3rd chemo next week!” Kenneth wrote.
He acknowledged that the upcoming treatment will not necessarily be easy, describing it as something that will be “madugo” once again. However, he also said he now feels more prepared because he has already experienced the process.

“Alam kong madugo na naman ‘to, pero mas alam ko na ngayon kung ano ang aasahan ko. And mas alam ko na rin na kakayanin ko ‘to. 💪🏻”
Kenneth then gave his followers a simple explanation of what chemotherapy has been like from his perspective.
“Alam mo ba, ang chemo parang naka-IV drip lang din. Nakahiga ka, may IV line, tapos dahan-dahang pumapasok sa ugat ang gamot,” he explained.
The treatment involves lying down while medication is gradually administered through an intravenous line. Kenneth used a humorous comparison to describe the familiar-looking setup, saying that it sometimes reminds him of another type of IV infusion.
“Kaya minsan naiisip ko, ‘Parang gluta drip lang!’ 😂”
However, Kenneth immediately clarified that the similarities are limited to the way the treatments are administered.
“Pareho silang IV infusion, pero magkaiba ang gamot at purpose,” he explained.
He pointed out that glutathione drips are generally associated with supplementation or wellness, while chemotherapy involves medicines specifically used in cancer treatment.
“Ang gluta drip is usually for supplementation/wellness, while chemotherapy uses medicines specifically to treat cancer.”
With his third cycle approaching, Kenneth once again expressed his determination to continue with his treatment.
“Next week, round 3 na. Kakayanin ko ulit.”
