According to Inquirer, Chief Academic Officer Zosimo Battad of UE confirmed the death of the said student, who was still rushed to the Manila Central University Hospital but was declared dead at around 10:09 a.m.

His body was found at the back of the LCT building, by a school utility personnel, Manila Bulletin reported.

The Caloocan City Police Station said that it was around 6:25 a.m. when the school personnel heard a loud noise, and that the student's body was allegedly discovered in the drainage.

In a report by Manila Times, Cpl. Deojoe Dador, and another investigator, Cpl. Ryan Ocampo, stated that the student allegedly went to the 9th floor and that it was from there that he jumped off the building.
