’It’s Showtime,’ led by Vice Ganda, made headlines after announcing that the show is transferring from TV5 to GMA Network’s GTV starting July 1. The ABS-CBN program declined the offer from TV5 to move their show to the 4:30 p.m. time slot to make way for the original ‘Eat Bulaga’ hosts’ new show on the network. This was after the “Legit Dabarkads” left TAPE Inc. on GMA due to an ongoing conflict and moved to TV5.
Joey De Leon, nag-post ng tila hamon sa di pinangalanang grupo: “Sana’y mapantayan nyo man lang. Try nyo lang”
In a press conference on TV5, Dabarkad Tito Sotto said that he respects the decision of ‘It’s Showtime’ to go to GMA’s GTV even if their respective shows will directly compete against each other.
According to Tito, there is room for everyone in the current market since the Philippine population is 110 million. Tito pointed out that when ‘Eat Bulaga’ started 44 years ago, there were only 47 million in the country.
Furthermore, Tito expressed his admiration for the ‘It’s Showtime’ family’s loyalty toward each other, which he said is similar to the loyalty among the Dabarkads.

“When we started 'Eat Bulaga' in 1979, the population of the Philippines was only 47 million. 'Eat Bulaga' lang 'yon at 'Student Canteen.' Now we are 110 million. There's room for everyone.
"Ang pinakamaganda ay mapasaya natin ang ating mga kababayan. There's a common denominator among us, lalo na 'tong mga Dabarkads and ang production namin, loyalty," Tito stated.
