Arnold Clavio reacts to original Eat Bulaga on TV5: “buong bansa nag-aabang na”

Eat Bulaga hosts Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey De Leon have found a new home on TV5 after leaving behind TAPE Inc., which produced the show on GMA.

On Instagram, GMA newscaster and host Arnold Clavio reacted to the big news by changing the lyrics of the iconic Eat Bulaga theme song.

The new lyrics chronicle Eat Bulaga different television networks throughout the decades including RPN 9, ABS-CBN, and GMA Network. It also expressed the excitement of the public to see the original Dabarkads back on television doing what they do best.

Here are the lyrics:

”Mula sa Nuebe, nasimula. Lipat sa Dos, nag-Siete pa sila! Isang libo’t isang tuwa, Magbabalik ang… Eat Bulaga…

”Buong bansa, nag-aabang na! Sa tuwa’t saya na laging dala. Isang libo’t isang tuwa, Sa Singko na ang Eat Bulaga!”

Eat Bulaga is the longest-running noontime program in the world. Its hosts, including Vic Sotto, Tito Sotto, Joey De Leon, Maine Mendoza, and others announced last May 31 that they are separating from TAPE Inc., the company that produces the show. It is not yet clear as of this writing if the hosts will take the Eat Bulaga title with them to another network or if TAPE Inc. will keep the iconic name.

In other news, Maine Mendoza also took to social media and shared a heartfelt post about “Eat Bulaga.” On her online page, Maine uploaded some photos taken at the show’s studio. Along with the photos, the TV host penned a message to Dabarkads and to the noontime program.

Meanwhile, Alden Richards shared a stirring photo of himself at the noontime program's studio. Ryan Agoncillo, one of the show's hosts, took the said photo of Alden. Along with the pic, Alden wrote a short but heartfelt caption.
