Ben&Ben member diagnosed with Bell’s Palsy, opens up about condition

Toni Muñoz, the talented percussionist of the popular Filipino band Ben&Ben, took to Instagram to share a personal update with her followers. In a candid and heartfelt post, Toni revealed that she had been diagnosed with Bell's Palsy shortly before the band's 1MX show in Sydney.

In her Instagram post, Toni explained, "A few days before we flew to Sydney for Ben&Ben's 1MX show, I was diagnosed with Bell's Palsy. The left side of my face is paralyzed, so as some of you might have noticed (lalo na sa mga na-meet namin sa Sydney), I can only wear half a smile, and there's a bit of change in the way I speak."

Toni acknowledged that this change might be surprising to those who see her, but she reassured her fans, saying, "Ako rin nga hindi pa rin sanay." She went on to express her gratitude for the support she's received during this challenging time, both from loved ones and the band's fans.

Despite the physical, mental, and emotional challenges that come with a Bell's Palsy diagnosis, Toni remains positive and resilient, stating, "Ayun lang! Just putting this out here para lang hindi kayo magtaka/magulat when you see me, at para na rin sa akin, para mas lumakas 'yung pagtanggap ko na ito ngayon ang aking realidad. Gagaling naman ako, kailangan lang maghintay. Sa ngayon, kahit kalahati lang ang aking mga ngiti, buo pa rin ‘yan galing sa aking puso.”
