"Dahil ang alam niya... sobrang dedicated mom [ako], eh mawawala ako sa kids," she said.
According to Marian, Dingdong understands that accepting a movie could mean spending considerable time away from their children. Because of this, he gives her the opportunity to assess whether she is emotionally and personally prepared for the commitment.
She added that her husband does not insist when she expresses hesitation about taking on a particular project.
"So si Dong 'yung tipo na bago ako um-oo sa isang project, kakausapin niya muna ako dun sa mga bagay na alam niyang hindi ko magagawa sa mga anak ko dahil mawawala ako."
"So 'pag sinabi kong, 'Daddy hindi ko yata kaya,' hindi niya ipipilit 'yun."
"Always muna, kung okay ako na gawin siya, next dun is anong project ba ang dapat," she explained.

Marian further shared that once she gives herself the go-signal, the next step is determining whether the project is something she genuinely wants to do. Her personal interest in a movie also plays an important role in their decision-making process.
The actress also makes sure their children are included in the preparations whenever she and Dingdong have an upcoming project.
Marian explained that she does not wait until filming is about to begin before informing their children about their plans. Instead, she starts talking to them months ahead so they will have enough time to understand and adjust to the changes in their routine.
"Hindi pa namin gagawin, buwan ko sila kinakausap para pagdating ng araw na kailangan kong mawala ready sila, kumbaga nahanda ko na sila," she said.
Through this arrangement, Marian and Dingdong make sure that their decisions as working actors also take their family life into account. For the couple, choosing a project is not simply about finding an opportunity they like but also about making sure they are ready for the responsibilities that come with it.
