Gairanod said she believed she had the freedom to follow anyone on social media without it necessarily reflecting her personal beliefs.

So, yung sinabi ko na wala akong alam sa politics, nung time na yun siyempre 2022,” she said.

The singer then opened up about her father's stroke in 2022, describing it as one of the most difficult experiences her family had faced. With her father needing medical attention, she wanted to do whatever she could to help with his treatment.

According to Gairanod, the circumstances pushed her to accept different work opportunities regardless of the opinions people might have about her. Her priority at the time was supporting her family, particularly her father, rather than worrying about the criticism she could receive.

The renewed discussion about Gairanod comes as her song, “Puede Nang Mangarap,” has recently gained attention across social media. The renewed interest in the track has also brought attention back to the singer and her earlier experiences.
