The Megastar addressed the incident during her guest appearance on “Fast Talk With Boy Abunda” on Thursday. Boy Abunda asked Sharon about the memes that circulated online following the confrontation between her husband and her former boyfriend.
Sharon admitted that she had seen some of the memes, but made it clear that she had no intention of commenting on the clash.
“Natawa ka? Nagalit ka?” Tito Boy asked Sharon.

“No comment,” the veteran actress and singer replied.
She then explained that she simply viewed the situation as an interaction between two people who hold different places in her life.
“Gano'n na lang, 'Uy, ex ko. Uy, husband ko.' Tapos na. It stops there. I don't wanna comment, 'cause sa amin it's a non-issue."
The Senate confrontation happened in May as lawmakers discussed the International Criminal Court arrest warrant against Senator Bato dela Rosa.
During the proceedings, Pangilinan sought to refer manifestations concerning the ICC warrant to the Senate Committee on Rules so the chamber could move on to other matters. Padilla then interjected, prompting Pangilinan to raise his voice and insist:
“I still have the floor.”
The exchange continued to draw attention even after the session. Padilla later questioned whether senators were allowed to shout at their colleagues and declined a handshake from Pangilinan during a break.
Padilla also said he would file a complaint before the Senate ethics committee if Pangilinan did not apologize on record.
Despite the public attention surrounding the incident and the memes that followed, Sharon made it clear that she would rather leave the matter between the two senators. For her, the personal connections involved did not change her decision to stay neutral.
Sharon Cuneta, born Sharon Gamboa Cuneta, is an iconic Filipino singer, actress, and television host widely revered as the "Megastar" of Philippine entertainment. She rose to fame in 1978 with her hit single "Mr. DJ" and went on to build an unmatched career in Original Pilipino Music (OPM), record-breaking box office films, and long-running television variety shows.
In another report, BB Gandanghari made a public appeal to Senator Kiko Pangilinan amid the ongoing discussion over a proposal to lower the age of criminal responsibility. She recalled supporting Kiko during a previous campaign because of her admiration for his wife, Sharon Cuneta. BB explained that her perspective has since changed and expressed support for her brother, Senator Robin Padilla, whose proposal is at the center of the debate. She also called on lawmakers to carefully consider the welfare of children while taking into account the concerns and responsibilities of parents as discussions over the controversial measure continue.
Meanwhile, Senator Kiko Pangilinan spoke out after a commotion inside the Philippine Senate became the subject of public discussion. In a post on X, Pangilinan dismissed claims that minority senators had supposedly been given advance warnings about the incident. He described what happened as both “shocking” and “sad,” noting that he had never seen such disorder take place inside the institution. Kiko stressed that he wants the Senate to move past the disruption, resume its responsibilities, and continue fulfilling its duty to the Filipino people.
