Veteran actress Angelika dela Cruz fearlessly revealed the possible reasons why she received dangerous threats to her life.

KAMI learned that the promising actress initially admitted that she is receiving death threats and numerous cases are also thrown against her.

Angelika claimed that politics and the rumors that she will seek for higher position are the possible reasons why there is danger in her life now.

The celebrity is currently on her second term as the Chairwoman of Barangay Longos in Malabon and she said she encountered the same problems during her first term.

“Akala kasi nila porke’t artista ko, ginagamit ko ‘tong pagtakbo ng pagiging Kapitan para tumakbo sa higher position,” she quipped in an interview with Abante.

“Eh, hindi naman talaga. Hindi ako power hungry, ‘no!”” she added.

The actress expressed that if she is really hungry for power, she would have sought a higher position in politics and would not just settle as a Barangay Chairman.
