In a recent snippet from the talk show House of D, the former PBA star opened up about the frustration of lending money with good intentions, only for it to be misused.
"Ang pangit lang dun kasi minsan is pag pinautang mo na... minsan hindi mo alam na yung paalam nila, hindi pala nila dun gagamitin," Marc explained. "Sabi ko hindi ka na makakaulit sa akin," he added.
Marc went into detail about a specific instance involving financial help meant for overseas employment.

"May nagpaalam sa akin na mag-iibang bansa para makapaghanapbuhay, ganun... Tutulungan ko yan, mapa-passport man yan, sa mga ticket nila. Hindi ko alam na hindi pala siya natuloy or hindi pala niya ginawa," Marc shared.
Kristine Hermosa, who was also part of the show, chimed in and asked, "Tas hindi binalik? Or hindi man lang binalik?" to which Marc confirmed: "Hindi na binayaran... parang ganun."
Hearing that the debt was completely left unpaid, Marc’s mother-in-law, veteran actress Dina Bonnevie, could not hide her shock and disbelief.
"Hindi ka niya binayaran?" Dina asked before exclaiming, "Ang shupal!" she added.
Dina's sharp, hilarious remark instantly had Danica and everyone in the room bursting into laughter.
While Marc chose not to hold a grudge over the lost money, he emphasized that he learned a valuable lesson about protecting his boundaries.
"Nung time ulit na manghihiram, sabi ko, 'Ay no. Hindi na. Iba na, iba. Ayoko na,'" Marc concluded.
