Losing a father figure leaves a deep void that words can hardly describe, and DJ Kara is pouring her heart out as she navigates one of the most painful moments of her life.

Taking to her verified Instagram account @gandangkara, the well-loved radio host and voice artist shared their final photograph together. Set to Acoustic Guitar Guy's rendition of "Tears in Heaven," the photo showed a smiling Kara leaning affectionately beside her late father figure.

In her raw and emotional caption, Kara recounted the bittersweet, tender moments leading up to his passing.

"Our last photo yesterday. I don't know where to start... pero I miss you agad Papa... magka-hawak kamay lang tayo kanina... sabay tayong natulog habang magkahawak. Paggising ko wala ka na.... that was the painful sleep of my life but at the same time the good way to end your suffering," Kara wrote.

Kara shared that she had prayed for him to go peacefully in his sleep so he would no longer feel any pain.

"Hiniling ko na sana tulog ka lang kung aalis ka na, na wala ka na maramdaman na pain at binigay yun... pero masakit pa rin pala. Parang hindi ko ma-sink in na di ko na maririnig boses mo at makikita ka pa ulit kahit kailan... Huling yakap ko sayo, sabi ko magkita na lang tayo sa paradise... ganito pala kasakit ang mawalan."

In her heartfelt tribute, Kara honored him for standing as a true father and giving her his last name.

"Papa... ikaw ang tumayong ama sakin at nagbigay ng apelyido sakin. I will always be grateful for that... I miss you so bad. I love you so much. Kung kaya ko lang dugtungan pa ang buhay mo at alisin ang sakit mo... magkita tayo sa paradise ha 😭🙏🏻"
