On Instagram on August 18, the actor kept his caption simple as he shared a new post featuring his little girl.
“My little angel” he wrote.
Liana, also fondly called Lily, is Derek’s daughter with Ellen Adarna. The little girl was born in October 2024 and celebrated her first birthday the following year.

When his daughter turned one in October 2025, Derek penned a much longer message about how becoming her father had changed his life.
He spoke about the happiness he gets from watching her grow and experiencing her milestones.
“You are the best thing that has ever happened to me,” he told his daughter at the time.
Derek also promised to always be there to guide, comfort, and protect her as she grows older. He described Liana as his “sunshine” and “little miracle” while expressing how proud he was to be her parent.
Months earlier, the actor also posted a touching message while he was away from his daughter.
In August 2025, while he was in Bali, Indonesia, Derek shared a photo of Liana and told her, “Papa is on his way home, my love.” The post came shortly before the father and daughter were reunited following his trip.
