During the July 24 episode of PUSH It, the Blood vs Duty actor reflected on the realities behind his achievements, explaining that maintaining high standards while balancing a demanding schedule remains one of his biggest challenges.

“Yung personal struggle, siyempre yung sometimes may doubts, sometimes may challenges like right now sunod sunod yung schedule ko. Siyempre, meron akong standards na bilang isang aktor, gusto ko ng ganito, gusto ko gawin yung best ko pero medyo mahirap kapag ang dami mong schedule. Yun yung mga struggle lalo na you always want to give your best para sa mga Kapamilya.”

He explained that despite the pressure, he continues striving to deliver quality performances for viewers who have supported him throughout his career.

The Kapamilya star was also asked about the biggest risk he had ever taken in pursuit of his dreams. According to Gerald, every new opportunity carries uncertainty because success is never guaranteed, no matter how prepared he may be.

"I think everytime na may bagong project ako, bago akong challenge, bago akong work. It's always a risk kasi you know I always wanna give my best but you know you only control what you can control. So laging may risk parang Negosyo yan eh, na mag-iinvest ka pero hindi ka naman sure kung babalik sa'yo. So laging may risk. You know my biggest risk of my career nung ginawa ko yung "Budoy," nung sumali ako sa PBB yun. Malalaking risk yan."

Gerald said taking on the lead role in Budoy and joining Pinoy Big Brother were defining moments that required him to step outside his comfort zone. Looking back, he considers those decisions among the biggest leaps of faith in his career.
