"'Di ko type, ayoko. Wala akong time. Ayoko. I enjoy being single, I love being alone."
Dolly explained that situations never escalated to the point where she had to reject anyone directly. Instead, she simply laughed off the interactions and walked away, making it clear that she was not interested without creating unnecessary drama.
Although her career has reached remarkable heights with award-winning performances and international recognition, Dolly admitted that success also comes with moments of loneliness, particularly while working abroad.
She shared that living in the United States is very different from being home in the Philippines, where she can freely converse in her native language and spend more time with her loved ones.
"Like 'pag nandu'n ako, napipilitan akong mag-ingles the whole time. Nakakapagod mag-ingles the whole time, 'di ba? Ta's pag-uuwi ako galing work, tulog na 'yung mga anak ko, wala akong makausap, so yeah, it can be lonely."
Despite those challenges, the actress chooses to remain optimistic. Rather than allowing loneliness to overshadow her accomplishments, Dolly believes it is important to appreciate the blessings she has received throughout her life and career.
"Kasi parang sayang naman 'yung biniyaya sa 'kin ng Diyos kung magiging malungkot lang ako."
For Dolly, being single is not something she views negatively. Instead, she embraces the independence it gives her while continuing to prioritize her family, career, and personal happiness.

In another report, Dolly de Leon revealed that she nearly gave up on acting before earning her breakthrough role in Hollywood through Triangle of Sadness.
