During Tuesday's episode of Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, the actor-director was asked whether returning to the country for television and film projects remains part of the plan. BB responded positively, saying there is genuine excitement about collaborating with the industry's creative talents again.

“Oh yeah, I'm more than willing. Of course, siyempre hindi naman lahat pwede mong gawin on your own. I'm still looking forward to working with the directors; we have really good directors now.”

“I wanna be a part of that.”

The interview also touched on the types of characters BB hopes to portray if given another opportunity to act. According to the actor, playing a lead antagonist or bida-kontrabida role is something worth revisiting.

Beyond acting, BB has also been preparing for a broader role in the entertainment business. Last year, the actor-director graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Entertainment Business from the Los Angeles Film School in California.

The degree, BB explained, was pursued with long-term goals in mind, particularly in creating and managing original film and television projects.

“I wanna direct also. I wanna be a filmmaker, but in the end, I wanna be that filmmaker who produces, who directs, acts, you know?”

BB shared that several original concepts have already been developed over the past few years. One of those projects has progressed to discussions with a producer, although financing remains the final hurdle before it can move forward.

The actor further explained that every concept has a different vision depending on the story being told. Some projects are designed for BB solely as an actor, while others are intended for directing duties or producing responsibilities, with some allowing the actor-director to wear multiple hats at once.

“Meron akong mga konsepto na mainly, just an actor, and then meron akong konsepto mainly as a director, at meron din akong konsepto as a producer, and also I'm acting in it. Depende du'n sa istoryang naiisip ko.”

With renewed enthusiasm, formal training, and several original projects already taking shape, BB Gandanghari appears ready to begin a new chapter in Philippine entertainment, balancing acting with filmmaking and content creation while hoping to once again collaborate with GMA Network.

BB Gandanghari is a Filipino actress, model, and entertainer who initially rose to fame in the 1990s as a popular action star in the Philippines. After migrating to the United States, she formally came out as a transgender woman in 2009 and later secured her legal name and gender change in California, continuing her career as an advocate and digital content creator.

In another report, BB Gandanghari appealed to Senator Kiko Pangilinan as discussions continued over the proposal to lower the age of criminal responsibility. She recalled supporting Kiko in the past because of her admiration for Sharon Cuneta, but said her perspective has since changed. BB defended her brother, Senator Robin Padilla, and urged lawmakers to carefully balance the welfare of children with the concerns of parents while deliberating on the controversial measure.

Meanwhile, BB Gandanghari voiced her support for lowering the age of criminal responsibility from 15 to 10 years old, backing Senator Robin Padilla's proposal. She argued that the measure is intended to discourage children from committing crimes rather than simply punish them. BB also likened the proposal to the Ten Commandments, saying that rules are meant to guide and protect people. The proposal has since drawn criticism from the Akbayan Party-list following the Tacloban shooting involving minors.
