“We’ve such a broken country, Lord. Have mercy on us… please,” he added.

Gary V’s post came at a time when tensions inside the Senate had become one of the most talked-about political issues online. The controversy escalated after members of the minority bloc reportedly walked out of the plenary session on Tuesday evening, May 26, in protest over what they claimed were rushed changes to Senate rules.

Reports indicated that the conflict began after a proposal allegedly surfaced from Rodante Marcoleta that would allow certain senators to vote online. According to discussions surrounding the issue, the proposal was supposedly intended to accommodate Ronald dela Rosa, who is reportedly facing a warrant of arrest from the International Criminal Court in The Hague, Netherlands.

Members of the minority bloc strongly opposed the proposal, arguing that it appeared to benefit senators who are currently facing allegations and controversies. The disagreement further fueled political drama inside the chamber.
