Kapamilya actress and “Pinoy Big Brother Gen 11” Big Winner Fyang Smith has firmly denied any claims that she has ever faked her feelings for her love team partner JM Ibarra, saying she has always been genuine when it comes to her emotions.

In a recent Star Magic Spotlight press conference, Fyang and JM appeared together before members of the entertainment media, where the topic of her real feelings toward her on-screen partner was raised once again.
According to Fyang, it is difficult for her to pretend when it comes to emotions, especially when acting alongside JM.

She further explained how challenging it would be for her to force emotions if they were not real.
“Kung pinepeke ko ‘yung sarili ko na kikiligin ako sa kanya, kung pinepeke ko yung sarili ko na nasasaktan ako sa kanya, or kahit anong emosyon na ipakita ko sa movie, ang hirap pekein nu’n.”
Fyang also admitted that she is naturally expressive when it comes to feeling “kilig,” saying it is not something she can control or fake.
“Hindi naman ako mahirap kiligin, e. Mabilis talaga akong kiligin. Super talaga."
She added that what fans see on screen often reflects her genuine emotions in real life.
“Kung nakikita nila akong kinikilig sa movie, kinikilig din talaga ako (sa totoong buhay),”
Aside from her candid remarks about her emotions, Fyang also shared a more personal side of her lifestyle, revealing that she prefers staying at home when she is not working. She explained that this helps her rest and maintain personal boundaries as a public figure.
At present, Fyang and JM are starring in the Kapamilya series “Love is Never Gone,” which is currently streaming on Prime Video. The project also features actors Joshua Garcia and Ivana Alawi, adding more star power to the series.
Fyang Smith is a 20-year-old Filipino actress, model, and digital content creator who grew up in Laguna and Mandaluyong as the eldest daughter of a Filipino mother and an American businessman father. Initially building a massive social media following through her lifestyle, fashion, and beauty TikTok vlogs, she rose to national prominence after winning Pinoy Big Brother: Gen 11 in late 2024.
In another report, JM Ibarra revealed that he still plans to pursue flight school despite his growing success in the entertainment industry. Meanwhile, Fyang Smith shared that she has long dreamed of becoming a general surgeon, showing that both of them continue to prioritize their education and personal ambitions alongside their showbiz careers. The two stars are currently working together in the film “Almost Us,” where they appear as a love team.
Meanwhile, JM Ibarra also confirmed that he is still courting Fyang Smith during their guest appearance on “Oh My Gan!” The pair shared that they are taking their relationship slowly while focusing on their individual goals and dreams. Fyang also revealed that her parents, particularly her father, approve of JM, which added warmth to their growing connection. Both admitted that their bond became stronger after they left the “Pinoy Big Brother” house together.
