“Kasi parang 'pag isa lang, 'pag nakikita kong walang kalaro 'yung anak ko, parang ‘Ang sarap siguro 'pag maraming kalaro, maraming kausap, marami siyang napagshe-share-an ng gamit niya,’” Kris said.

Hailee Lucca was born in August 2023 and has become one of the actress’ biggest inspirations. Kris previously shared that her daughter’s name was inspired by the song “Hallelujah,” which she often listened to during her pregnancy.

Meanwhile, the actress also celebrated her birthday through a photoshoot that she later posted on Instagram. In her message, Kris reflected on the different experiences that shaped her over the years.

“37 years of life, lessons, heartbreaks, victories, beginnings, endings, and becoming. Looking back, I realize that every season shaped me into who I am today,” she wrote.

Kris also shared how motherhood changed her perspective in life and inspired her to reconnect with herself. She explained that becoming stronger and happier mattered more to her than simply returning to how she looked before becoming a mom.

“I realized that getting 'back to myself' isn't about looking exactly the same - it's about feeling strong, confident, and happy again,” the actress shared in another post.

Kris Bernal is a respected Filipino actress and businesswoman who rose to fame after winning the fourth season of StarStruck in 2006. Spending nearly 20 years with GMA Network, she successfully transitioned from being part of a popular love team to becoming a versatile leading and character actress, headlining well-received projects such as Little Nanay and Koreana. Now embracing motherhood, Kris continues to challenge herself creatively and has recently taken on bolder, more daring roles in the 2026 drama series House of Lies.

In recent interviews, Kris admitted she was puzzled after realizing that her longtime on-screen partner, Aljur Abrenica, had unfollowed and unfriended her on social media. She said she tried to reach out by contacting Aljur’s brother, Vin Abrenica, to confirm his contact details, but initially received no response to her text messages and Viber chats. Kris also wondered if a prank she pulled during the pandemic—where she pretended to be pregnant for a YouTube video and caught Aljur off guard—may have contributed to his sudden silence. The two eventually ran into each other backstage at TiktoClock, where Kris jokingly asked him about the apparent snub. Aljur reportedly told her that he had tried to return her call.

In a separate interview with 24 Oras, Kris looked back on her 18-year career and revealed that she experienced severe burnout before deciding to step away from show business for three years. Since returning in 2026, she said she has become more intentional about setting professional boundaries to protect her personal life. Kris shared that becoming a mother to her daughter, Hailee, gave her a clearer sense of perspective, helping her realize that her happiness and self-worth are not defined by fame. Now starring in House of Lies, the actress said she feels more confident, assertive, and fearless in choosing roles than ever before.
