Charlie pointed out how society tends to be more forgiving toward men.

“Feeling ko lang, halimbawa sa scandal nga. Parang ‘pag sa lalaki, katanggap-tanggap. Alam mo ‘yon? Parang, 'Okay, lalaki.' Parang ganun ‘yung dating. Hindi too damaging.”

She also reflected on her role in What Lies Beneath, saying it helped her understand the issue more deeply in a personal way.

Despite her strong observations, Charlie also acknowledged that emotional pain is not exclusive to one gender.

She further explained how difficult it is for women to recover from public controversies.
