Cristine Reyes recently shared a vulnerable look into her past, revealing the painful details that led to the end of her previous marriage. Speaking on The Sexytime Podcast with sisters Isabelle and Ava Daza, Cristine traced the journey of a relationship that she now realizes was a 'mistake' from the start.

"Yun yung mistake ko... Nagpa-pressure ako sa society na, 'Ay, hindi ako married, tapos pregnant ako so kailangan kasal kami.' Tapos inisip ko si Amara, gusto ko siya bigyan ng family, buo. Wala, mali pala," she admitted.

Though she maintained a "happy family" image on social media at the time, Cristine revealed the reality was far darker, involving claims of abuse and neglect.

"Hindi siya talaga umuuwi sa bahay. Pumupunta siya sa mga casino, tapos may mga girls silang kasama, parang tine-table kasi merong mga clients daw, mga Koreans," she shared.

She even kept quiet about the situation for a long time, fearing people wouldn't believe her because of her 'strong' public persona. Eventually, the 'breaking point' finally arrived on their wedding anniversary.

"Sinong matinong tao [ang] makakalimot ng wedding anniversary niyo?" she asked. That neglect led to her final decision to walk away. "Tanungin mo sarili mo, for five years na magkasama tayo, did you ever ask me out on a date?" she told him then.

While Cristine did not explicitly name her ex-husband in the interview, it is worth noting that her last marriage was to Ali Khatibi. Their marriage has since been annulled, and they continue to co-parent their daughter, Amara.
