Former actor and now Bulacan Governor Daniel “Dan” Fernando vehemently denied the circulating rumors that he is romantically involved with a local radio news anchor named Alex Baltazar.

He also denied allegations that he gifted her expensive items such as a vehicle and a diamond ring.
During an in-depth interview on prominent public affairs vlog, Kay Susan Tayo hosted by Susan Enriquez, the provincial chief executive addressed the speculations directly, calling the claims entirely baseless and fabricated by those looking to create a stir.
The controversy came to light when the show's host directly questioned Daniel about the persistent gossip making rounds in their local circles.

Ms. Enriquez brought up the alleged relationship, specifically asking about the expensive presents that the governor purportedly gave to the media personality.
In response, Governor Dan maintained his composure and firmly stated that none of the stories were true, brushing them off as mere rumors meant to stir unnecessary intrigue.
“Sino itong ano, isang radio anchor na sugar baby mo raw? Binigyan mo daw ng sasakyan, diamond ring. Sino ba 'yan?” Ms. Enriquez asked.
“Hindi naman totoo lahat 'yan, Ma'am. Puro mga tsismis lahat,” Governor Dan answered.
