In a candid post, Chito revealed he had seen numerous men on Facebook criticizing the saying, claiming it was unfair to husbands and that the saying should be, "Happy Spouse, Happy House."
"May nakita ako recently sa FB na mga lalaking nagrereklamo tungkol sa line na 'to. Lugi raw ang mga lalaki. Toxic daw. Ito daw ang 'most dangerous relationship advice ever given to men.' Dapat daw, 'Happy Spouse, Happy House' o kaya 'Stable Man, Strong Family,'" he shared with his fans.

While Chito was careful to say he did not intend to offend anyone online, he said they sounded "whiny" to him, "No offense, pero parang ang whiny eh... parang begging for respect and attention, wanting things to be more about them, instead of their wife. Parang, 'Uy... paano naman ako?'"
Chito went on to explain that, for him, the saying "Happy Wife, Happy Life" perfectly fits his marriage and relationship dynamics with actress and entrepreneur Neri Naig-Miranda.
Sharing a glimpse into their dynamic, he said, "As long as I treat my wife right, take care of her and our kids, and make her happy, she treats me like a king, and takes care of me as if I'm the greatest thing na nangyari sa buhay niya... and that 'vibe' spreads sa buong family universe namin."

He emphasized the positive impact of making his wife happy on their overall family life, adding, "Kumbaga, 'Alagaan mo lang wife mo, and she'll take care of you and yung family niyo.'"
However, Chito also acknowledged that the saying might not apply to every situation for couples.
He pointed out that in some cases, it could indeed be toxic or unfair, "Maybe in some cases, I guess pwede maging 'toxic' or 'unfair' yung line (di naman kasi natin pwede lahatin) and what works for me might not work for everyone."
Chito’s honest and balanced take earned praise from many of his followers on the photo app.
