Rita Avila emotionally reacted to the passing of entertainment legends Nora Aunor, Pilita Corrales, and Gloria Romero.

It is worth noting that Nora and Pilita both passed away this month. The Superstar of Philippine Cinema died on Wednesday, April 16 while the Asia’s Queen of Songs passed away last Saturday, April 12.
It can also be recalled that Gloria died on January 25, which is just some months ago.

“We are losing the brightest shining stars lately - Ms. Gloria Romero, Ms. Pilita Corrales and now, Ms. Nora Aunor,” Rita wrote in her Instagram post on Thursday, April 17.
In the same post, Rita also penned a short but heartfelt message to Nora.
“Our nights will shine brighter with you in the sky. Rest in peace Ate Guy,” her earnest note addressed to the late national artist reads.

Recently, Lotlot De Leon has announced the official wake and funeral arrangements for her adoptive mother, Nora.
In an Instagram post, Lotlot shared that the wake will be held at The Chapels at Heritage Park. From April 17 to 18, Thursday and Friday, the viewing will be exclusive to family and close friends. On April 19 and 20, the public will have the opportunity to pay their respects, with viewing hours scheduled from morning until afternoon. The final day of the wake, April 21, will again be reserved for family and friends only.
A mass will be held each evening throughout the wake.
The interment is scheduled for April 22 at the Libingan ng mga Bayani, with further details about the planned State Funeral to be announced soon.
Nora Aunor was a celebrated Filipino actress, singer, and producer. Known as the 'Superstar of Philippine cinema, she has earned critical acclaim for her powerful performances in films such as Himala, Bona, and The Flor Contemplacion Story. Her contributions to the arts were recognized in 2022 when she was named National Artist for Film and Broadcast Arts. In 1975, Nora married fellow actor Christopher de Leon. They have one biological son, Ian de Leon, and adopted four children: Lotlot, Matet, Kiko, and Kenneth de Leon.
As previously reported by KAMI, a vintage slum book page of Nora Aunor recently surfaced online, revealing some of her favorite things. She mentioned that Vilma Santos and Esperanza "Espie" Fabon were her "chum girls." She also shared that she dislikes arrogant people. She named Nancy Wilson, Dionne Warwick, and Barbra Streisand as her favorite singers.
Meanwhile, Nora Aunor shared the story of how she lost her powerful and striking voice. She said she simply woke up one day only to find out that she could no longer sing. She admitted that it was a painful experience for her, as she used to love singing more than acting back then. Unfortunately, her once-powerful voice could never be restored.
