"Thank you for loving us, dad, until to this day, we really feel your protection, yung security ng family. Like my mom now is in the hospital, but because my dad was a war veteran, medyo malaki yung insurance. So nako-cover pa rin yung medical ng mommy ko na hanggang ang tagal niya ng wala, 13 years na po siyang patay, hanggang ngayon, inaalagaan pa rin niya kami," she added.

However, the financial relief cannot ease the deep emotional ache the family is experiencing. When host Aster Amoyo gently asked about her mother’s current state, Sue candidly admitted that things have taken a heartbreaking turn for the worse.

"Not doing very good, tita. Actually last week, I could still say na I'm so hopeful na makakapaglakad pa siya ulit, na makakapagsalita siya ulit, na baka kaya pa ng speech therapy. Pero just the other day, parang medyo nawala yung hope ko na yun kasi may mga updates na bago, like may stroke ulit na nangyari sa brain niya," Sue confessed.

Watching her mother go through this agonizing battle is especially devastating for Sue, as it brings back the painful memories of her father's final days.

"I pray that she's not in pain, I really miss talking to my mom. I miss when she calls me. You know, tita, it hurts so much kasi I'm seeing what my dad went through and now it's my mom going through the same thing," she shared.

The hardest part for Sue and her siblings is the overwhelming feeling of helplessness as they sit by their mother's bedside.

Hindi ako ready, tita, na mawalan ng nanay. Kaming magkakapatid, hindi kami ready," Sue wept openly.
