Sue Ramirez has opened up about her continued success in show business, admitting that she is still surprised to have a stable career after 16 years in the entertainment industry.

During the recent Star Magic Spotlight press conference, the actress reflected on her journey and revealed that she never expected to remain relevant for such a long time despite consistently giving her best in every project.
“Actually, after 16 years, nagugulat na nandito pa rin ako. Sa totoo lang,” Sue said.
She emphasized that hard work has always been part of her approach to acting.

“Of course, you put in the work. That’s what we always do. If we don’t give our hearts to it, why do we do it anyways?”
Despite her achievements, Sue said she never assumed that success would automatically follow. According to her, the entertainment industry is filled with talented and beautiful individuals, making every opportunity something she considers a blessing.
“So, we put it in the works, but we still don’t expect it. We hope, but we don’t expect.”
The actress, who is currently in a relationship with Dominic Roque, shared that she constantly prays for future opportunities rather than expecting them.
“But I always just hope that I would get a big project, and lagi ko lang pinapagdasal kung may susunod pa.”
She even revealed that she has thought about returning to school if acting opportunities eventually slow down.
“Kung wala na, pwede naman ako na mag-school ulit.”
Sue also looked back on her younger years in the industry when she rarely turned down projects and maintained a packed schedule.
“At one point nga, wala ako natanggihan na project, like lahat sige.”
She described a demanding routine that often required her to work from Monday to Sunday while juggling multiple commitments at the same time.
“Monday to Sunday nagtratrabaho talaga ako.”
According to Sue, her mindset then was simply to keep moving forward and remain grateful for every opportunity that came her way.
The actress also discussed her experience working alongside some of the country's most successful love teams. While many actors aspire to become part of a permanent love team, Sue said that was never her personal goal.
“So, never akong nag-hope na maging part ako ng love team.”
Instead, she considered those experiences valuable learning opportunities.
“But I was very, very lucky.”
Sue acknowledged that she faced criticism for some of those projects but chose to see them as blessings.
“I got bashed so much for that.”
She added that working with established stars taught her important lessons that helped shape her career.
Looking back, Sue remains thankful for the trust given to her through projects such as Pangako Sa’Yo and Dulce Amore.
“Lagi lang ako nagpasalamat.”
She ultimately credited her continued success to faith, gratitude, and what she jokingly described as a very strong guardian angel watching over her career.
“So sabi ko, ang lakas ng guardian angel ko.”
