Martin Nievera, the Concert King, recently talked about the time he and Pops Fernandez called it quits in their marriage back then.

Recently, Martin was invited by Toni Gonzaga to guest on Toni Talks where they talked about his career and married life with Pops.

"Eh di ang hirap nun, Kuya Martin. Everywhere you go, during that time, lagi ka pa ring associated with Ate Pops," the actress noticed.

Upon hearing this, Martin recalled an encounter he had with a nun he saw in Glorietta, amid his viral breakup with his ex-wife, Pops.

"Always. Meron ngang isang time sa Glorietta, bago pa yung Glorietta. A nun, madre, walking, may kasamang payong. Nag-smile siya sa akin, nag-smile din ako, tas sinampal ako sa mall! Sinampal ako sa mall, sa Glorietta! Sabi ko, 'Bakit po? I'm so sorry, did I offend you?' 'Bakit iniwan mo si Pops?' ganun," Martin briefly recalled.

In the video, Martin said he stayed with the nun for one hour, admitting all the bad things he did.

"I stayed with her for one hour, nag-usap kami, inamin ko lahat ng ginawa ko na hindi tama sa nun, sa mall, sa gitna ng mall eh nag-usap kami. Until I made her believe na, 'Tama ka. Nagkamali ako talaga.' Pero it takes two to tango," the Concert King told Toni during their viral interview.

Martin Nievera is a famous Filipino singer and songwriter, known as the 'Concert King' in the Philippines. He was once married to Pops Fernandez, a Filipina singer, but their marriage was officially annulled in 2000. He and Pops have two children together.

As previously reported by KAMI, a video of Martin Nievera who seemed to be teasing Gabby Concepcion and Sharon Cuneta went viral. The video was uploaded on @justsharoncuneta. In the video, one could see that Sharon, Gabby, Pops Fernandez, and Martin were together. Martin then whispered and said that Gabby was very happy.

Meanwhile, Martin Nievera was featured in one of Pops Fernandez's online posts. On Instagram, the singer uploaded a clip wherein she was sipping her drink while Martin sang. Needless to say, this prompted Pops to include a hilarious caption to her viral post. In the caption, the Concert Queen simply told netizens not to get too excited.
