Just yesterday, the Starstruck "Ultimate Hunk," back in 2006, filed his COC (Certificate of Candidacy) with hopes of landing a spot in the public office.
He's running for councilor in Angeles City, Pampanga, where he was originally from.
With the rising number of actors and actresses running for the 2025 elections, there have been quite a doubt on their credentials.

Aljur Abrenica is a Filipino actor who became known after winning the "Ultimate Hunk" title on the show StarStruck in 2006. He appeared in several shows on GMA, including Zaido: Pulis Pangkalawakan and The Last Prince. He was engaged to actress Kylie Padilla, and they have a son together, but they separated in 2021. After leaving GMA in 2017, he signed with ABS-CBN and starred in the drama series Asintado. Throughout his career, he has worked on various TV shows and movies, becoming a well-known figure in the Filipino entertainment industry.

Aljur Abrenica took to Instagram and shared his bonding moments with his kids. According to him, it was training day; and it was such a wonderful activity for the two boys. The actor was teaching his kids some basic manly things like boxing and kickboxing. The two boys were having fun with their dad.
