Miriam Quiambao, a former beauty queen, was recently invited to Toni Talks where she recalled her first marriage with Claudio Rondinelli.

Rondinelli, her former Italian boyfriend had proposed to her during the height of her career, prompting Mirian to leave everything behind.

"Lahat ginive up mo in the name of love," Toni Gonzaga said during their viral interview.

According to Miriam, they were happy at the beginning, but when the honeymoon phase was over, things eventually changed for the two of them.

"Masaya in the beginning, but when reality hit, natapos yung honeymoon stage tapos may mga problema na hindi namin pinag-uusapan. Para lang namin winawalis sa ilalim ng carpet," she said, before adding, "It led to the breakdown of our marriage and all of a sudden, yung luxury, parang wala nang meaning kung di naman happy ang relationship niyo."

During the interview, Miriam confessed that her former husband even stopped wearing their wedding ring second month into the marriage.

"I fell into depression and it affected our relationship. Hindi niya naiintindihan," she revealed.

In the interview, Miriam said if she stayed in that marriage, it felt like she was going to die.

"If I stayed in that marriage, I felt like I was going to die and shrivel into nothing. After 2 and a half years, I just received a call from him, sabi niya, 'I just had a meeting with my lawyers and I want a divorce,'" she revealed before recalling, "I remember lying down in the sofa of my parents' house, sabi ko, 'Lord, kunin niyo na ako.'"

Miriam Quiambao is a former beauty queen in the Philippines. She became famous when she represented the country in the 1999 Miss Universe pageant. She and Ardy Robert tied the knot in Tagaytay. Ardy has an adopted son named Joshua from his marriage with Tingting, his late wife.

As previously reported by KAMI, Miriam Quiambao and her husband, Ardy, tested positive for COVID-19. The beauty queen revealed that they were vaccinated on Jan. 5 at the Festival Mall and spent the whole day there. Consequentially, Miriam said that they spent the whole day at the vaccination site and were exposed to a lot of persons.

Meanwhile, Miriam Quiambao and her family have flown to Boracay to live there for a year. According to Miriam, she and her family are looking forward to their "island life." During their trip, Miriam recalled that they experienced a QR setback but was eventually resolved. Her online post also elicited tons of reactions from netizens who wished the family well on their new journey.
