Nadine Lustre gets real about her morena skin: "Learned to just love the skin that I'm in"

Nadine Lustre, in a recent vlog of the YT channel One Down became honest about having morena skin, and told everyone how this used to be her insecurity.

However, she underscored that as she grew up, she learned to simply love her skin color.

She also admitted that she even went through the process of scrubbing her skin with calamansi, and a lot more considering that she experienced many times of being told that she was too dark for the role and those who would bag the role are the ones with lighter skin or mestizas.

However, Nadine learned to love her skin as she grew older.

Here's what she said:

“Darker skin is not beautiful,” basa ni Nadine sa isang hot take.

“I do not agree with this. I think when I was about 13, people would say that I was too dark,” she recalld.

“When I would go to auditions, where they would only cast girls who are mestiza, or have lighter skin, it became an insecurity of mine and I really went through, like, the whole thing where you do gluta. You use like, whitening soap, you scrub calamansi on your body, or lemon,” the actress narrated.

“As I grew up, I learned to just love the skin that I’m in, and to just appreciate the beauty that I have,” she added.

Nadine Lustre is a popular Filipina actress who rose to fame after appearing in "Diary ng Panget: The Movie."
