Gelli De Belen was asked about a decades-old chapter in her life involving fellow actress and singer Regine Velasquez during her appearance on Fast Talk With Boy Abunda on GMA.

“Regine and I are very-very okay. Basta, tapos na. That chapter of our life is over. We’ve grown from it.”
Gelli emphasized that she no longer views the decades-old conflict simply through the lens of what happened at the time. Instead, she sees it as an experience that carried lessons for everyone involved.
“Everything happens for a reason. Walang coincidences in life. And that happened in life. And that happened for a reason.”
She also spoke about the importance of learning from mistakes and difficult experiences instead of allowing them to repeat themselves.
“And kung hindi ka kasi magtatananda sa mga pagkakamali natin sa buhay, o sa mga challenges natin sa buhay, eh, mangyayari at mangyayari ’yon.”
For Gelli, the experience ultimately became part of the personal growth of the people involved. Rather than dwelling on the past, she said there was value in recognizing what could be learned from it.
“And I believe that, for all of us in that situation, we all grew from that. There’s always something to learn from any experience.”
