Earlier in her speech, the actress-turned-politician congratulated her son for renewing his contract with the Kapamilya Network.
During her speech, she recalled the time they made a promise never to leave ABS-CBN.
“Napakaganda na ng sinabi ng lahat pero anak, walang hanggang congratulations,” Karla said.

“Kami at ng buong angkan mo na sa pangunguna ni lola mo ay talagang masayang-masaya dahil sa pagtupad natin at siyempre sa pagtupad din ng ating mga salita simula nang nangyari sa ABS-CBN ito, the celebrity mom added.
“Kung naalala mo, sinabi ko ‘anak sa ABS-CBN lang tayo kahit ano'ng mangyari’,” she said.
According to Karla, despite what happened to the ABS-CBN, he stood firm on his decision not to leave the Kapamilya Network.
“Si Tita Cory ay saksi sa lahat ng pag-uusap araw-araw, pero yes, hindi man natinag kahit kailan si Daniel na aalis sa ABS-CBN,” Karla said.
She then expressed hopes that Daniel would still be with ABS-CBN even if his hairs already turned gray.
