JK Labajo confirmed during a TikTok event that his hit song "Ere" was inspired by his breakup with Maureen Wroblewitz.

According to the singer and actor, the song was quite obvious.

He even quipped, "Kung hindi obvious, ewan ko na lang!"

In ABS-CBN's report, JK said that he's not hiding anything and that "Ere" was among the songs he made when his relationship ended.

"Well, I'm not really hiding anything, it's a super given thing that the whole thing was for a breakup. 'Ere' is one of the songs that I made for my relationship that ended, so that’s it," JK said.

As per Manila Bulletin, the song "Ere" was the most streamed local track in a single day.

Philstar reported that the song debuted with 1.22 million streams on Spotify.

"What part of the song? The whole song! Surprise!" JK stated.

JK Labajo is a singer and composer who has a number of songs to his credit. JK's innate singing talent landed him a spot on The Voice Kids when he was young. He also popularized the hit song Buwan.
