Daniel Padilla, in a recent interview with ABS-CBN News, said he’s very proud of his real-life sweetheart, Kathryn Bernardo for bagging the Outstanding Asian Star award during the Seoul International Drama Awards 2023.

The actress won the award for her performance in the series “2 Good 2 be True.”

For Daniel, it is an achievement for the entire cast of “2 Good 2 be True.”

He also said that Kath truly deserved the award because of the dedication she poured to her work.

“For the entire ‘2 Good 2 be True’ cast it is an achievement. Sa lahat ng dedikasyon binibigay niya sa trabaho, walang mas deserving pa kung hindi si Kathryn lang,” Daniel said.

In a report by Philippine Star, Daniel also indicated that his feelings of pride stemmed from the fact a Filipina won the said award.

“I'm very proud. Siyempre representative ng Philippines,” the actor added.
