Lolit Solis, sinabing tumawag si Arnell Ignacio para linawin isyu ukol sa complaint ng OFW: “Alin na ba tutoo”

- Lolit Solis, in a recent post on social media, revealed that Arnell Ignacio called her to explain the issue about the OFW who allegedly sought help from him but was supposedly ignored

- According to Lolit, Arnell is worried the issue might call the attention of “higher-ups” in the government and view him as unfit for his position at OWWA

- The veteran showbiz columnist, however, said that she doesn’t know whom to believe, particularly so that she learned the said OFW was already approved for financial assistance

Lolit Solis, in a recent post on Instagram, revealed that Arnell Ignacio called her to make some clarifications about the issue with an OFW who allegedly sought help from him but was supposedly ignored.

Arnell, a well-known showbiz personality, is the current administrator of OWWA, the national agency tasked to manage welfare programs and services for member-OFWs, as well as their families.

“Naku Salve, timing ha. Talagang tumawag si Arnel Ignacio at nagpaliwanag,” Manay Lolit said in her post.

It can be recalled that the veteran showbiz columnist discussed the issue in a previous post about how the OFW was allegedly ignored by Arnell when the said worker sought help from him.

In her recent post, she wondered, after learning that the said OFW was already approved for a financial assistance, how so that the said overseas worker still didn’t receive any help from the agency.

“At heto pa ang hindi ko matanggap, alam mo ba na meron pala 10K na na approved na financial assistance duon sa kakilala mo na lumapit kay Arnel Ignacio?” the veteran columnist wrote.

“Kaloka naman, bakit nagkaruon ng reklamo samantalang meron na palang nakahandang assistance?” she added.

Manay Lolit then revealed that Arnell sounded worried when he called her, indicating he might be viewed as unfit to be the OWWA administrator because of the issue.

“Worried nga si Arnel na baka dahil sa issue na hindi niya pinansin ang isang lumapit para sa tulong ma call pa ang attention ng mas higher ups at sabihin unfit siya sa kanyang trabaho,” the columnist said.

She then voiced out loud her doubts as to which story to believe, that of Arnell’s or the OFW’s.

“Naku alin na ba tutoo, iyon complainant o si Arnel ?” she said.

“Ayoko ng gulo Salve at Gorgy, kaya tinanggap ko invitation ni Arnel na mag lunch tayo nila PatP, Leo, Gorgy, Mr Fu, para ma clear ang issue. Dapat siguro malaman natin kung ano ang tutoo, bongga,” Manay Lolit concluded.

Arnell Arevalo Ignacio occupies a position in government as OWWA Administrator. He is a showbiz personality who rose to fame as an actor-comedian, game show host, singer-songwriter, and news anchor. Some of the shows he's been into are Chibugan Na!, Kwarta o Kahon, GoBingo, Katok Mga Misis!, at K!

Recently, the veteran columnist made a lengthy post on Instagram about OWWA Chief Arnell Ignacio and the issue about the OFW. On the socmed app, Lolit alleged that Arnell failed to help an OFW in need. According to Lolit, it was Nina Taduran who helped the OFW in need, instead of Arnell. In her post, Lolit even wrote, "Medyo na-off ako na hindi man lang tinulungan ni Arnel ang OFW na humingi ng tulong."

She also said in a subsequent post that she cannot accept the alibi of Arnell Ignacio as regards the incident about an OFW who asked help from the OWWA administrator. The veteran columnist’s post was in relation to an earlier topic that Manay Lolit discussed about the alleged non-assistance of Arnell to the said OFW. Manay Lolit said that for her, the act of Arnell is “unforgivable” because he has the power and capacity to do something for the OFW and yet he opted to “ipagdamot” the help being asked of him. She then said that people who refuse to help others should feel guilty about not being able to give assistance, and then expressed hope that Arnell would be able to sleep well after the incident.
