Alden Richards, pinapangarap lang dati ang buhay ng mga kaklase niyang mayayaman: “Inimagine ko po”

- Alden Richards, in his interview on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” admitted that he used to imagine the life of his rich classmates

- He said that he would imagine having delicious breakfasts before going to class, and brought to and from school in private vehicles

- The actor also talked about the pocket money that his classmates would have daily and sometimes compare them to his own

- Alden did say, however, that he accepted there are some things that were just not possible for him because of their impoverished condition

Alden Richards, in an interview with Tito Boy Abunda on the latter’s show, “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” admitted that he used to imagine the life of his rich classmates.

The actor said he would imagine waking up to delicious breakfasts before going to class and being brought to and from school in private vehicles.

This was his answer to the question of Tito Boy as to whether the actor had imagined having reached where he is now.

“Inimagine mo ba, using the word imagination, na mararating mo to?” Tito Boy Asked.

“Inimagine ko po na, of course, siyempre, nung nagkakaisip na po ako being sa school, siyempre meron tayong mga classmates na well-off,” Alden replied.

Then he started talking about imagining what the lives of his rich classmates felt like.

“Iniimagine ko po yung buhay nila, yung gigising ka, yung breakfast mo meron kang bacon, eggs and sinangag, tapos ang baon mo is two hundred pesos a day, tapos hatid-sundo ka ng service,” the actor said.

At this point, Tito Boy wondered what was the breakfast of Alden and how much is his pocket money for school.

“Dahil ikaw, ano ang breakfast mo at magkano ang baon mo?” Tito Boy asked.

“Ang breakfast ko po minsan ay cup noodles, and then ang baon ko po ay fifty pesos,” the actor answered.

“And then those were the times na hindi rin po ako, maraming hindi pwede during that time because of financial constraints po eh,” Alden said.

Richard Reyes Faulkerson, Jr., or more popularly by his screen name, Alden Richards, is a Pinoy actor, producer, and entrepreneur. He is also known as “Asia’s Multimedia Star” after receiving the Asian Star Prize awards during the 14th Seoul International Drama Awards of 2019 for acting. He rose to fame as the partner of Maine Mendoza in their tandem, AlDub, on “Eat Bulaga.”

In the same interview with Tito Boy, Alden also boldly admitted he became arrogant when he started to become famous. He also said that he would be a “hypocrite” if he doesn’t admit that he did become arrogant at one point. The actor then gave an indication that he thought he was just acting normally until he noticed those close to him were starting to drift away. He then narrated during the interview how he handled the situation.

In another appearance, this time during a media conference for GMA's new reality show, "Battle of the Judges," the actor revealed he was offered to make an appearance in TAPE’s “Eat Bulaga” and “It’s Showtime.” In the mediacon, Alden vowed his loyalty to Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, Joey de Leon, and the Dabarkads. The actor also expressed sadness that the iconic trio and their co-hosts had to transfer to a different network.
